Alloy surcharge cost will rise in April 2018

The price of alloy surcharge AISI 304 for flat products and strip coils continues going up and was set at € 1407/ T (+ € 54 from March).

The price of alloy surcharge AISI 430, ferritic grade, with a low content of nickel, was set to € 663/ T. This surcharge is going down from previous months.

In other hand, the price of alloy surcharge AISI 316, austenitic grade with the highest content of nickel, rose to € 2145/ T (+ € 73)

These figures are in line with our monthly forecast where we anticipated increases. The prices of metals do not stop rising, with all indexes currently at their highest value in years. This will have an impact on the sales price of stainless steel: strip coils, bars and wire.
